Inclusione Italia

Our story

Numerous studies have demonstrated the impact of environment on humans and its influences when it comes to our success and failure. From the construction of our identity to mimetic behavior and mirror neurons, multiple determinants of our journey as women, men and children can be found in our surroundings.

Since 1990, Epigenetics even proved that our environment is transforming the way body cells read our DNA. Scientifically speaking, it means that our living conditions have biological effects on our organism, metabolism and genetic base frame. Therefore, environment is not only an essential component of our well-being but also of the well-being of following generations.

One can wonder: To what extent can Social Inclusion benefit from these discoveries?

Let us walk you through it!

But first, we should present ourselves:
We are Inclusione Italia, the alliance of the “Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche dell’Università di Napoli Federico II” and “Euroform RFS”.

After years of experience in trainings and scientific research, we took a step back. This enabled us to define what was missing in the field of Inclusion: labour fields such as working with refugees, elderly, handicapped or disadvantaged people, need to be recognized as fully-fledged. With increased awareness we started to intensify our involvement in this topic. How to? By dedicating our time and effort.

We are currently developing different trainings, micro-learnings, and micro-consultancies to enable social workers to specialize. We envision the creation of innovative courses to provide knowledge and skills in specific areas related to Social Inclusion. In fact, uplifting operators’ competencies will create a better environment, key to improve the integration of those marginalized, disadvantaged and often both. Moreover, social workers must be able to assert their already existing skills thanks to validation and certifications.

To this end, we will approach social inclusion scientifically. Indeed, by developing better ways to measure it, we will foster recognition of social workers and organizations who spent years contributing towards a more inclusive society. Simultaneously, we intend to run events, conferences as well as workshops; building a community that raises awareness on the impact of exclusion.

In contrast, showing how an inclusive world could feel and look like, we wrote a Manifesto. Born in the light of a self-conceived survey, our Manifesto is based on the union of more than 681 perspectives on social inclusion; somehow similar, somehow different, but always complementary.

We will continue our research to offer trainings, validation and certify the skills of operators working close to the reality of those excluded. Eventually, we also foresee that new findings in our research will lead us to the continuous development of new activities.
